Meghna Prabhakar
Hello! I'm Meghna Prabhakar, a psychologist with master's degree in clinical psychology committed to creating a safe, empathetic, and collaborative space where individuals feel genuinely heard and supported. Through my clinical training in hospitals, mental health organizations, and community settings, I have worked with people experiencing a variety of emotional and psychological concerns. My therapeutic style is grounded in evidence-based practice, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), person-centered principles, and supportive psychotherapy. I view therapy as a partnership one that respects each person's unique experiences, strengths, and pace of growth.
I believe that healing begins with understanding ourselves with curiosity rather than judgment. Whether someone is navigating anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or significant life transitions, my aim is to help them build emotional resilience, healthier coping patterns, and lasting self-awareness. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy reading psychology books, exploring new research, spending time in nature, and continuously learning—because I believe that growing as a therapist enables me to better support the people who trust me with their stories.
Master's in Clinical Psychology (First Division with Distinction) with strong academic training in psychological assessment, counselling, research methodology, and evidence-based mental health practice. Completed a dissertation titled "Psychosocial Correlates of Phubbing Behaviour Among Young Adults," exploring the relationship between phubbing, need to belong, social anxiety, and Fear of Missing Out (FoMO)
Completed clinical internships across government hospitals, private hospitals, rehabilitation centres, NGOs, and community mental health settings, gaining hands-on experience in psychological assessments, case history taking, psychoeducation, counselling, multidisciplinary collaboration, and working with diverse populations across the lifespan.
Experienced in working with children, adolescents, and adults through academic training and supervised clinical practice. Skilled in building therapeutic rapport, conducting mental status examinations (MSE), behavioural observations, psychological interviewing, and delivering empathetic, client-centred support.
Committed to evidence-based and ethical psychological practice, with a therapeutic approach informed by Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), person-centred principles, and supportive counselling. Passionate about continuous professional development and helping individuals build resilience, emotional well-being, and meaningful personal growth.
