Nidhi Parekh
Hello! I'm Nidhi, a therapist passionate about helping adolescents and adults navigate concerns such as anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, relationship concerns, emotional regulation and life transitions. I use an integrative, evidence-based approach, mainly drawing from CBT, REBT, Art Therapy and mindfulness. I strive to create a safe, compassionate and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their concerns openly, build resilience, work towards a meaningful change and find their own light.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy recharging through movies, web series, music and reading novels. I also cherish meaningful time with family and friends. My therapy style is warm, collaborative and compassionate, offering a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences, feel heard and move towards meaningful growth.
I hold a Master's degree in Psychology with a clinical specialization and am trained in counselling theories and evidence-based approaches to mental health.
Conducted academic research on attachment styles and the Einstellung effect, deepening my understanding of relationship dynamics and cognitive functioning.
My experience spans hospitals, private practice and community mental health settings, where I have conducted psychological assessments and facilitated individual therapy. Also conducted online art therapy workshops, and volunteered with a peer listening helpline, providing empathetic emotional support.
Certified in Expressive Arts Therapy, with additional training in CBT, mindfulness techniques, LGBTQIA+ affirmative practices, and cyber psychology, focusing on internet use, behavioral addictions and digital well-being.
